Precognition and Intuition

Intuition, precognition, gut feelings, and visions of the future: are they real?  These have long been  topics of discussion.  From my own experience my answer is yes.  Many times in my life I’ve experienced what they call Precognition, but like many I chose to ignore it.  We have all had times in our life that we’ve had strong feelings of things that we should do or things that are about to happen.  Many of us choose to ignore these feelings as we do not understand what they mean.  I’m going to talk about a few of these that have happened to me and how we can develop these gifts.

The Precognition that made me realize I need to be more in touch with these feelings was when I was on the Oregon Coast on vacation about 12 years ago.  Usually I had been so tied up and focused on my business that I had no time to just relax and allow the gift of intuition to take hold.  My wife and I were relaxing on the beach and enjoying the peace and tranquility when a feeling come over me that it was time to go home.  We were not planning to go home for least another week, but each day the feeling got stronger.  My wife said that I needed to relax and forget work; I explained that it was not the work that was bothering me, but something else telling me I needed to go home.

We decided that we would stay two more days, but if this feeling continued we would pack up and go home.  My wife reminded me that if anything was wrong my nephew would call us.  After all he was staying at our house in Meridian, Idaho taking care of things.  I decided it was time to call him to see what was going on, but all we got was the answering machine.  We left several messages that day but did not get a call back till the next day about 1:00 pm.  He said that we needed to come home that my dog Bandit had died.  He said he was going to bury my dog, but I ask him to wait.  I told him that I wanted to do it as he was my dog and he laid under my desk every day while I was at work and was a part of me.  We packed up and drove for 11 HRS to get home.  Upon arriving home I noticed the van windows were covered with nose prints and dog saliva.  It made me sick and it took me several hours to gain my composure before I could ask what had happened.  He said somehow the dog had got in the van and could not get out and had died from the heat.  After many hours of questioning I found that he’d been taking drugs again, he had taken the van to the mailbox on the main road and did not see that Bandit got in.  Bandit loved to ride with me in the van and always went to get the mail with me.

We had warned Michael that he was not to let Bandit go with him.  He was told since it was only two blocks and did not have a driver’s license he was not to drive the van.  He should walk to get the mail as this would take the temptation away from Bandit to get in the van.  I know most people will not understand why it took me over a year to reconcile this within myself.  I had the chance and was forewarned that I should go home but I chose to ignore the Precognition, premonition that something was about to happen and I should go home.  I promised myself after that if my intuition told me to do something or had a Precognition or Premonition that I should do something I would listen to what I was feeling.
